Kick off the Summer with the “Ottawa Rocks” concert at Zaphod Beeblebrox, 27 York St., Friday, June 4th.
Some may remember Marshall Brown from Wahoo Pr
oductions back in the 80′s in Ottawa (local promoter).
Marshall went back to Minneapolis in the 80′s to actually make a living…. BUT he’s back and is producing this one night event.
C’mon out and see him as well as: John Allaire and the Campistas, Royal Ottawa and 40 Watt Monkey!
The members from these bands have a combined on stage experience of 406 years! They represent such 80′s and 90′s faves as, The Town Cryers, Gonks go Beat, Bugs Harvey Oswald, The Night Twisters, Jimmy George, The Whirleygigs and countless other bands. It’ll be a real reunion night of old friends and some great music.
This will likely be the last time Ottawa will see John Allaire play with the Campistas in 2010, as he’s hitting the road and touring the US, UK and Europe, mainly with Bill Tome (of Springsteen fame).
40 Watt Monkey and Royal Ottawa are quickly re-building their local followings with their alternative-rock guitar attacks. This should be a good one!
