The Secret Mask
September 25th 2012 - 8:00pm
George has waited 40 years to meet Ernie, the father who abandoned him as a two year old. When the phone finally rings, itâ??s from a hospital in Vancouver, asking him to come get his dad. Ernieâ??s memory and speech are half missing, and he has no idea who George is. Or who he is himself, for that matter. The Secret Mask tells the story of a father and son who will do almost anything not to connect, and how a funny reconciliation happened on the way to getting even.

Treepot2: An Indie Filmmaker Showcase – ByTowne Cinema – March 29, 2012
After playing to a capacity crowd in September 2011, the Treepot Indie Filmmaker Festival is back on March 29th, 2012. Treepot2 is not a festival, not a contest. Once again, it’s a handful of independent filmmakers inviting the general public, fans and friends to enjoy their work projected on big screen at the historic ByTowne Cinema in downtown Ottawa. So come on out, bring your friends and show your support for indie film.
Treepot Media presents Indie Filmmaker Showcase featuring the short films, documentaries and music videos by: Jeremy Kennedy, Derek Price, Kristian Lariviere, Kevin Friel, Hasi Eldib & Lisa Thomas, Jean-François Dufault, Lindsey Reeswith, Marc-Antoine Cuerrier & Chris Chitaroni.
Tickets $10, sold at the door. Doors open at 6:30pm. The show starts at 7:00pm.
The ByTowne Cinema and SAW video are getting on the celebration by offering over $200 dollars in prizes to those who help us promote the event. Check treepotmedia.com for more information.
There will be screentime allocated to showcase teasers and trailers for upcoming indie projects. Contact mail@treepotmedia.com if you have a project for consideration.
